Until now we have never seen development team of any manufacturer have ever released initial development ROM to the public for their Android phones, well Sony Ericsson has broken that tradition by releasing Ice Cream Sandwich Alpha ROM for the sake of getting feedback from developer community, it should be also noted that Sony Ericsson was also first one to offer unlock boot loader service.

Here is a ROM for ARC/S users.. Based on Stock ICS 4.0.3 FW .562.. I don't own an Arc but this Rom is made entirely from Arc files... similar to my Ray Rom

Most of the Sony Bloatwares and Useless apps and other files removed for smoothness and made it look like AOSP ICS as much as I could do to give you stability, performance and Best of Both Worlds...

Here is the easiest step on how you can unlock Sony Xperia Arc S bootloader. Unlocking your bootloader allows you to Flash a Kernel and ROM's. Flashing will give the phones ability to adopt on whatever themes and system you wanted to run on your phone.
Unlocking Bootloader will voids smartphones warranty. So do this at your own risk. Follow the steps cautiously and read it word by word to prevent problems. Happy Bootloading.

How to Unlock your BOOTLOADER

► Unlocking the Bootloader will void the phone's warranty.

► Unlocking the Bootloader will wipe the phone's data.

► Do not perform Software Update once phone's Bootloader has been unlocked or else it will be bricked.

1. Download FASTBOOT PACKAGE and 32bit and 64 bit DRIVERS

2. Go to this LINK

3. At the bottom click 'Continue' and enter your IMEI (type *#06# to find out), name and email address

4. The site will give your UNLOCK KEY. Save it in a notepad.

5. Extract fastboot.rar and open fastboot folder.

6. Hold SHIFT and right click on the background of the folder. Select " Open Command Command Window here ".

7. Connect your phone in fastboot mode (turn phone off, hold menu button and plug in USB Cable)

MENU BUTTON IS THE LAST BUTTON AT THE RIGHT.

8. In the cmd windows type in fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce getvar version.

If it returned a value, It means the phone is connected properly.

9. Type in fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce oem unlock 0xKEY and replace KEY with the key provided in step 4.
